Methods in representation theory of finite reductive groups |
Abstract | : |
Finite reductive groups are defined to be the
rational points of a reductive connected group over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p>0. This construction allows us to study the "classical groups" like GLn(q) or On(q) in a general setting. The purpose of this talk is to expound some methods in the representation theory of these groups, from Harish-Chandra induction to Lusztig's parametrization of characters. |
