Abstract : We use the invarients of Ozsvath and Szabo to construct an invarient of open 4-mainfolds. We construct a 4-mainfold x which is homeomorphic to R^4 and show using our invarients that x is not diffeomorphic to R^4. This is the first invariant for open manifolds that directly recognses exotic R^4s.
