Workshop on Number Theory and Cryptography 

(January 23 - February 11, 2006)


The IISc Mathematics Initiative (IMI), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore will be organizing a workshop from January 23 - February 10, 2006. The main theme of the workshop on "Number Theory and Cryptography" will be "Algorithms in Number Theory, Computational Aspects, Public Key Cryptography and Elliptic Curve Cryptography".

There would be special lectures on Probabilistic Encryption, Complexity Theory and Zero Knowledge Proofs. There would be about 30 outstation participants (including initial graduate students, young and interested faculty, scientists and industry participants).

A maximum of 10 seats will be reserved for scientists from organisations, which finance the theme programme.

Students and faculty from IISc who desire to participate in the theme programme will need to register.
