    1. A brief review of Hausdorff and Fourier dimensions
    2. Salem sets and Salem measures
    3. Continuum analogue of Szemeredi - type problems for sparse subsets of Euclidean spaces
    4. Existence of three point configurations in Salem sets in R – discussion of proof
    5. Higher dimensional extensions

    WEEK II:

    AUGUST 26, 2013 to AUGUST 29, 2013
    (Monday to Thursday)

    1. Stein's spherical maximal theorem, Bourgain's circular maximal theorem,
    2. measure-theoretic extensions
    3. Differentiation for measures - a question of Aversa and Preiss
    4. A Lebesgue-independent differentation theorem in R
    5. Overview of proof
