GAME THEORY AND OPTIMIZATION

August 2015 - July 2016

The modern era, marked by magnificent advances in information and communication technologies, has created possibilities for fascinating new applications and modern research trends at the interface of economics and engineering sciences. These applications include electronic commerce, online auctions, public procurements, Internet advertising, social network monetization, crowdsourcing, intelligent transportation, finance, etc. . These applications and research trends have brought topics such as game theory, mechanism design, and optimization to the forefront.

The NMI year devoted to Game Theory and Optimization will feature six modules, two at Bangalore and one each at New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Ropar. The focus of these events will be on foundational results, research frontiers, and high impact applications.

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION:

We welcome graduate students, master's students, faculty members, and researchers from industrial research labs, having relevant background, to apply for participation in the individual events. There will be a separate call for participation for each of the six events.
