The Joint IMI-ICERM Winter School on Computational Aspects of Neural Engineering will be held from December 10 - 21, 2012 at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. This is a joint activity under the Science Across Virtual Institutes in Mathematical Sciences and Statistics (an initiative launched by DST and NSF). It is also supported by Centre for Neuroscience, IISc (through its DST IRHPA Grant).

This winter school will concentrate on a pedagogical introduction to all computational aspects related to neural engineering. Math and engineering students will be provided the necessary biological background. There will also be computer labs where students can work on datasets to implement the methods that they have learned.
