" Harmonic analysis and the riemann zeta function "
|
Abstract |
This will be a highly personalized account of the many ways in which the theory of the Riemann Zeta function and Harmonic Analysis have interacted and enriched each other. It will begin with a brief description of how Riemann used Fourier inversion to create an explicit formula for the prime counting function, through a discussion of the universality properties of Zeta and the relationship between Riemann Hypothesis and almost periodicity, to a brief account of the recent work of Baez-Duarte in a Hilbert space reformulation of the Riemann Hypothesis |
