Title: Grothendieck-Serre Formula and Bigraded Cohen-Macaulay Rees Algebras

Abstract/Brief Description: Characterization of Cohen-Macaulay property of bigraded Rees algebra of two m-primary ideals in a Cohen-Macaulay local ring of dimension two, using the Bhattacharya polynomial, its coefficients and reduction numbers. The result is obtained as an application of a generalized Grothendieck-Serre formula for the difference of Bhattacharya function and polynomial in terms of lengths of the bigraded components of the local cohomology modules.
